Established in 1981, the Community Resource
Center (CRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides
training, technical assistance and consultation to community-based
organizations in Colorado and across the country. CRC empowers
nonprofits to fulfill their missions by building capacity,
strengthening skills, and providing strategies for success.
CRC serves as a convener of communities to expand resources
and stimulate change. CRC utilizes a variety of programs to
fill these roles:
CRC offers comprehensive Consulting and Technical Assistance
services that are customized to meet the needs of individual
nonprofit organizations. CRC staff members work with nonprofits
across the state to build their capacity and help them develop
strategies for success through training, consultation, and
retreat facilitation. Learn more.
In keeping with our strong belief in the principles of participatory
democracy, CRC's Community Developing arm continues to assist
networks of citizens to influence public policy on both the
local and statewide level and to empower ordinary citizens
and community-based groups. Since 1996, CRC has focused specifically
on the areas of economic justice, low-income housing, homelessness,
and welfare reform. Learn more.
CRC's newest program, NPower Colorado, is a technology resource
and information center for Colorado nonprofits, offering affordable
technology solutions. NPower serves as a central clearinghouse
and coordinator for nonprofits seeking consulting, training,
and resources around information technology. Learn more.
